Fettes Park Baptist Church

House of Hope is an inter-denominational program founded and spear-headed by Sisters Khoo Cheng See and Olivia Ng. It has been running since the 3rd quarter of year 2006 and presently, there are 9 churches and also many individuals of like-mind from various churches involved in its multi-faceted activities in the locality of the Rifle Range Flats. These activities range from regular Mandarin-speaking, Hokkien-speaking and Tamil-speaking bible-study groups, home-cell groups and weekly congregational meetings to children's ministry, free tuition classes, art & craft classes, home medical visitations, medical health screenings, etc.

As part of our need-oriented evangelism effort, FPBC has been involved with House of Hope's activities since February of this year. Our Ps. Alvin had heard God telling him that this is where He is moving and where we should join Him in His work. Since then, our Bro. Nathan has been led to spear-head the Tamil-speaking congregational meetings there, including doing home visitations and bible study with them. He has heard many of them attest to God's goodness in their lives since receiving Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. In July this year, 9 of them submitted to water baptism in FPBC.

FPBC has also been organizing monthly visitations to Block A of the Rifle Range Flats, which has specifically been assigned to us to care for by House of Hope. Individuals have also been encouraged to regularly follow up those they have contact with. Some have even helped to clean up the homes they visited. So far, apart from visitations, we have organized feeding programs and a healing service there.

To contribute towards our Independence Day celebrations this year, FPBC is organizing a gotong-royong to clean up and paint the communal areas of Block A.
